2019 April Chairs Update.
I would fill up a monthly newsletter! The reality is there is so much going on it’s what I leave out.
Can I start by welcoming our New Members Dawn Hardman, Tom Raymond-Hill, Elaine Meredith and Neil Parton and Dale Godliman
The Board have also agreed to Sponsor the Festival of Innovation in Great Malvern in October and the North Worcestershire Business awards in November.
I am sorry to report that Steve Hunt has stepped down from the board. Steve joined the board in 2013, he has been heavily involved in our Sponsorship programme and has been very much a critical friend to the Chair. Steve will still be an active Ambassador remaining on the One Worcestershire sub group. I will look to make his presentation soon.
This month saw the launch of Street Cricket which we are sponsoring on the 1st July, in Worcester City Centre, where fellow Ambassadors City Mayor Jabba Riaz and Tom Raymond -Hill development director at Worcestershire Cricket Board were joined by 6, Three-year olds at New Road. We will be looking for players so if your interested please let me know.
Our Cricket day on the 1st May has sold out, 250 Ambassadors and friends will be in the Marquee at Black Finch New Road, all we need now is the weather to be kind to us and Worcestershire to win! Thanks to all those involved in arranging Steve Taylor, Sharon Rea, Phil Fowler and Tracey Hopkins whose administration skills are so very much appreciated.
By popular request we are looking at a date for a meal at the Wagon Wheel at Grimley.
We do now have a date for our Sunday lunch on the Severn Valley Railway.

This sold out very quickly last year so please book soon to avoid disappointment.
One of our key aims as Worcestershire Ambassadors has always been to help promote our County which is why we are delighted to be involved in the One Worcestershire campaign.
Many Ambassadors will have seen the launch at the LEP conference last year, and after several months of behind the scenes planning with several county wide groups, momentum is beginning to grow.
We recently wrote highlighting a One Worcestershire launch event to Ambassadors at Blackfinch New Road on Monday 3rd June 6pm-7 30pm since when over 90 have registered to attend through our website.
If you haven’t registered yet for this free event and exciting launch, then please do.
If you have any specific questions, please direct to Vince Hopkins email@example.com

It’s time to put on the Glitz for Strictly Worcestershire 6 staged at the stunning Chateau Impney in Droitwich Spa and I would like to say a huge thank you to my Vice Chair Julia Williams who has led on this , Julia’s personal drive and enthusiasm has not faltered since before Christmas , she will deserve a glass of wine when the show has finished on the 23rd . Julia has been ably supported by Ambassador Sharon Tilki who taught and choreographed the dancers, there would be no show without her.
I would also like to thank several Ambassadors; Directors Sue Crow and Vince Hopkins have helped pull the brochure together. Director Chris Green from Chris Green Media has done the PR, Dale Parmenter and his team at DRPG for the room set up and will produce the show on the night Ed Nixey at Source Print and design, and of course as well as our four event partners DRPG, Andrew Grant, Lowe’s Solicitors and Greenworks Solutions.

You don’t change a successful format, but we did make a couple of tweaks for this year, one being allowing Contestant couples to raise funds for their own Worcestershire charities via JustGiving. This is really exciting for all those Ambassadors and is a chance for us all to support them both by our presence there and our help in supporting their chosen charities. It would be great if as many of you could attend to show support on the night and/or support their Charities which are

Tracey Hopkins has joined the Ladies in Business committee and along with Ambassador Liz Needham and the team hosted their first lunch of 2019.
Over 35 ladies attended the Event at the Henry Sandon Hall, Porcelain Works.
Guests enjoyed the chance to network over a lovely lunch before listening to a very moving account from the Guest Speakers at St Pauls Hostel.
All proceeds from the event will go to St Pauls Hostel.
Finally, huge congratulations to Ambassadors Chris Orr and Andrew Graham and all the Ambassadors who completed this weekend London Marathon.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should have anything to discuss regarding the Ambassadors
