As we start May with, hopefully, some warmer weather April has been a very busy month for the Ambassadors. We kickstarted our Events program with our Annual social at the Wagon Wheel in memory of the late Derek Fradgley.
The evening proved to be a great success bringing together 60 members family and friends With superb food and service from Giuliano and his team. The event raised £1400 for the ambassadors charities.
The PSA testing event brought together over 275 Men from across the county to Sixways stadium for their annual PSA blood test. Fellow ambassador Rob North and his wife Carmel, hosted the evening along with David and Dorothy Baxter – Smith and his team of Phlebotomists.
Ambassador Nigel Smith of the Fleece Inn Bretforton hosted the inaugural Asparagus Express Train. Running from the recently reopened Broadway station to Cheltenham station celebrating St George’s Day. Finally I would like to say a few words about Member Mr Andrew Manning – Cox who after 40 years of service as a Partner in the international law firm Gowling WLG ( formally Wragge and co) of which 33 years has been spent as a partner specialising in Litigation and Arbitration, is retiring. However this does not mean that Andrew will be bowing out of the business community, his personal practice as a mediator arbitrator and notary public means business connections within Herefordshire and Worcestershire will continue. We wish Andrew all the very best in this new chapter of his life.
