The new Year is always a time for reflection and resolutions.
2018 was without a doubt a wonderful year under the leadership of Phil Dutton. We officially thanked Phil and handed over 100k cheque to St Richards Hospice and 15k to the Worcestershire Prostate Awareness Group and the article in the Worcester News was a fitting tribute to both Phil and the Late Derek Fradgley.
The Drunch was a resounding success hosted by Tracey Hopkins, compared by Dave Bradley with the Lord Lieutenant judging the best Christmas Outfit raising £1725 for our chosen Charities for 2019.
After much deliberation from the many worthy Mental Health charities that applied for support from the Ambassadors for 2019. The Board of Directors voted unanimously for “St Pauls Hostel” and “Worcester Community Trust.”
For those Charities unsuccessful we have teamed up with West Midlands Safari Park who have very kindly donated 400 tickets and Wristbands to enable the Ambassadors to invite these charities to join them for a Day at the Safari Park on the 2nd June.
On behalf of the Worcestershire Ambassadors I would like to extend my congratulations to fellow Ambassador Professor David Green who has been appointed a CBE by the Queen in recognition of his services to higher education and the County of Worcestershire.
